Christmas Gift Idea: Rocky road / Christmas bark! Make it with the kids

Each year we like to gift the girls teachers a little something to say thanks last year I brought them wine because I was totally unorganised...

This year Addison decided she wanted to make them something so we landed on this rocky road creation.

No this is not a healthy recipe but it’s Christmas! So here’s a fun activity you might like to try with your little ones this season!

You’ll need:

  • 1 packet of round-wine biscuits

  • 1/2 cup of condensed milk

  • 1/2 Marshmallows

  • 1 block of chocolate

  • 1/2 M&Ms

  • 1/2 Peanuts

How to:

  • STEP 1

Grease and line an 18cm square brownie tin with baking paper

  • Place biscuits in a bread bag and roll with a rolling pin or just the side of your fist until they're broken up into small chucks

  • In a large saucepan melt chocolate and condensed milk on a medium heat stirring constantly until there are no lumps of chocolate visible, then remove from the heat

  • Mix in the biscuits, marshmallows, M&Ms and peanuts

  • Place in the freezer for 2 hours

  • Slice and enjoy!

We wrapped 4 pieces in some cellophane with a Christmas ribbon for Addis teachers! See below
