Embracing the Beautiful Chaos of my Motherhood: Finding Your Own Balance

Ren - A Year to Balance

Motherhood is a beautiful, chaotic adventure. As a mum, you're constantly juggling multiple roles, right!? Chef, teacher, friend, daughter, partner and … uber driver ;) The pressure to maintain perfect balance can feel overwhelming, but here’s the truth: perfect balance doesn’t exist, and that’s okay.

Instead of chasing balance, I’m determined to focus on creating a blend of movement, rest, and self-care that works for me in 2025. Life as a mama is always shifting, and finding balance is less about equal parts and more about adjusting to what each day requires.

The Magic of Small Moments of Self-Care with She Moves

Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant or time-consuming. It's about finding small pockets of time for yourself throughout the day. Whether it’s five minutes to breathe, a She Moves mini movement bite, or a quick stretch, these little acts can make a big difference.

She Moves offers epic ways to incorporate self-care into your routine. Our Stretch classes are perfect for busy mums, combining both movement and relaxation, You could try one for free here. These moments of self-care don’t require hours of free time - they’re about finding moments that refresh your mind and body.

Letting Go of Mum Guilt: You Deserve to Show Up for You

We’ve all felt that mum guilt - that nagging feeling that when you take time for yourself, you’re somehow failing - or is it just me? But here’s the truth: showing up for yourself is not taking away from your family. It’s giving you the energy and patience to show up as your best self.

With She Moves, we’re all working to prioritise self-care without guilt. Whether through a 30 minute workout session, or a few minutes of quiet with the sun in your face, you’re not just doing this for you - you’re doing it for your whole family.

Balancing Rest, Fitness, and Busy Schedules

Rest can feel impossible as a busy mum, but it’s essential. Small moments of rest are powerful ways to recharge. Fitness doesn’t need to be complicated either. With She Moves, you can incorporate gentle, enjoyable movement that fits into your day. Our workouts are 30 minutes in and out, there’s no commute time and it doesn’t require any fancy equipment.

What Balance Looks Like for Me in 2025

For me, balance in 2025 is about rebuilding trust in my postpartum body - taking it step by step toward feeling stronger and more energised. As a mum of three beautiful girls, and a business owner, balance often feels impossible, but I’m learning that it’s not about being perfect - it’s about finding small, meaningful ways to prioritise me.

I’m planning to be more open with my hubby Adam around how we can make this new mindset work - here’s what I’m thinking…

Sneak in Movement – Use spare moments, like during TV time or while the kids are playing, for quick workouts.

Get the Family Involved – Turning exercise into fun family time with stretches and games.

Set Realistic Goals – Exactly why I love our short and simple She Moves workouts, fitting them into my daily routine.

Share the Planning – Joint meal prep and scheduling to lighten the mental load.

You should do it too!

Embrace the Chaos and Be Kind to Yourself

Motherhood is unpredictable, but come with me as we find small, consistent ways to care for ourselves in 2025. It’s not about doing everything - it’s about doing what we can, when we can. With She Moves, I’m learning to prioritise my well-being without guilt, to focus on what feels good, and to embrace the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
